About the position

The Assembly Technician II role involves assembling and testing avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies, with a strong emphasis on safety and detail. The technician will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, executing test procedures, and contributing to process improvements while working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Assemble and test avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies
  • Handle and install fiber-optics and PCBAs
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Identify equipment requirements and process improvements
  • Maintain floor stock inventory
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field)
  • 1+ years of hands-on work experience in Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration
  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices
  • Experience with standard hand tools

Nice-to-haves

  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license
  • ASE certification and/or equivalent experience
  • CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Prior military service
