About the position

The Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and installation of truck and trailer mounted equipment, focusing on basic repetitive tasks. This role involves collaboration with the service department to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service delivery. The technician will read job orders, perform installations, troubleshoot electrical components, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads job orders, plans work procedures, and documents work performed with accuracy and timeliness.
• Installs and troubleshoots basic 12VDC electrical components with minimal assistance.
• Performs Class 1-8 vehicle equipment installations with minimal supervision.
• Under minimal supervision, installs components with consistency and inspects critical fittings in the assembly process.
• Reviews assembly work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final quality control inspection.
• Advises customer and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed within the next 3 months.
• Tags all warranty parts and returns and sends them to the warranty department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and air operated tools.
• Must pass a 2G MIG weld test, as defined by the State of Oklahoma; including vertical, horizontal and overhead applications and procedures to ensure integrity.

• Possess a basic understanding of the operation and use of a MIG welder and a cutting torch.
