About The Position

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to showcase a positive attitude.
• Willing to learn and be part of a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Familiarity with fiber optics systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
• Proficiency in connecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optics systems.
• Knowledge of optical fiber testing and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read technical schematics and strip the cable to the required length.
• Strip the end of the breakout, apply numbered labels, and rubber boots.
• Cleave the very tip of the fiber using a specialized scope.
• Follow a preset polishing recipe, use proper sanding pads, and ensure no dirt or spots are visible.
• Test all connectors and ensure they meet testing requirements.
