About The Position

The Assembly, Test, Paint, Upfit, and Kitting, Marine (ATPUKM) Director at Cummins Inc. is responsible for leading the ATPUKM business at the Rocky Mountain Engine Plant in Whitakers, NC. This role encompasses overseeing operations, maintenance, quality, and manufacturing engineering for a large team of approximately 1,100 employees across multiple shifts. Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree required.
• Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial and budgetary experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational results by setting and monitoring measures, motivating teams, and establishing expectations in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Manage, mentor, and coach individual and collective talent to enhance manufacturing and supply chain capabilities across the organization.
• Champion projects aligned with Cummins Operation System and Functional Excellence, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain relationships and meet customer and business requirements.
• Review key performance indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, addressing supply chain failures as necessary.
• Prepare and manage an annual operating plan, ensuring alignment with supply chain initiatives and championing Cummins values.
