About the position

The Assertive Engagement Specialist - Reengagement Case Manager is responsible for providing education, case management, and workforce navigation services to youth aged 18-24 experiencing houselessness in East Multnomah County. This role involves crisis intervention, resource brokerage, educational reengagement, and advocacy, with a focus on building trust and rapport with vulnerable youth populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide education reengagement, case management, and workforce navigation services to youth ages 18-24 experiencing houselessness.
• Conduct assessment and intake processes for clients.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.
• Develop case plans and coordinate resources for clients.
• Facilitate skills training and group activities.
• Engage in supportive outreach and community engagement activities.
• Maintain clinical and financial record keeping related to job duties.
• Provide follow-up and aftercare services to clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, education, or social work, or relevant work and life experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with youth facing multiple barriers.
• Knowledge of housing barriers, navigation, and advocacy.
• Understanding of substance abuse, mental health, trauma, and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication, organization, creativity, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
• Access to an automobile, valid driver's license, and active auto insurance.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred with additional compensation).
