About the position

The ACE Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness and success of events, programs, and services within the Office of Assessment, Culture, and Education (ACE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This role involves strategic alignment, conceptualization, and execution of various ACE initiatives, leveraging project management best practices to enhance mission-focused and performance-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support to all ACE programs, services, and events.
  • Engage in project processes including reviewing proposals, determining feasibility, and creating budgets.
  • Track project performance and communicate with stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Coordinate logistics for cultural immersion programs, including budget tracking and travel arrangements.
  • Create efficient systems for planning and organizing projects and events.
  • Maintain an ACE events calendar to prevent overlap and duplication of efforts.
  • Foster collaboration across units by hosting project coordinator meetings and engaging in information sharing.
  • Provide thought leadership to align ACE's operational efforts with the university's strategic vision.
  • Assist in managing ACE's operational efforts and lead project management training sessions.
  • Support other areas of the division as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum three years of relevant full-time experience with complex events, services, and/or programs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple events and adapt to various situations.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five years of relevant full-time experience.
  • Adept in project management processes and tools.
