The Assessment, Culture, and Education (ACE) Project Coordinator position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is a pivotal role within the Office of Assessment, Culture, and Education. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor, the Project Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the overall effectiveness and success of various events, programs, and services by applying project management best practices. This role is essential for strategically aligning, conceptualizing, and executing ACE initiatives, which encompass a wide range of activities including events, communication projects, assessment projects, cultural immersion experiences, meetings, workshops, and conferences. The Project Coordinator will provide comprehensive project management support across all ACE programs and services, overseeing projects from inception to completion. This includes reviewing and co-creating project proposals, assessing feasibility, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and tracking project performance. The coordinator will also be responsible for logistics related to cultural immersion programs, ensuring smooth planning and execution of travel, lodging, and itineraries, as well as supporting post-experience assessments and showcases. In addition to project management, the role involves fostering operational effectiveness and internal communication. The Project Coordinator will have the creative autonomy to develop efficient systems, such as flow charts and project management software, to aid ACE team members in their planning and implementation efforts. They will maintain an ACE events calendar to prevent overlap and ensure resource allocation aligns with the division's strategic plan. Collaboration across units will be encouraged through regular meetings and information sharing, aimed at identifying and resolving any planning or communication bottlenecks. The Project Coordinator will also play a key role in professional leadership, contributing to the alignment of ACE's operational efforts with the university's strategic vision. This includes participating in strategic planning teams and leading training sessions on project management best practices. Additional duties may involve assisting with data reports, budget modeling, and supporting other areas within the division as needed.
