About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assessor to join our team, responsible for assessing and evaluating individuals for mental health services. This role involves developing treatment plans and service request authorizations, making it ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for individuals.
• Engage patients using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage participation in their treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, behaviors, and interactions following ICD-10 guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques as needed.
• Participate in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for patients.
• Uphold a safe and supportive environment that promotes recovery and well-being.

Requirements

• A background in behavioral health or related fields is preferred.
• Experience or training in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or Christian counseling is a plus.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis is desirable.
• Familiarity with case management processes and motivational interviewing skills is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mental health.
