About the position

This position has the overall responsibility for inventory management of all gas and liquid cylinders within the company. The individual in this role will be tasked with ensuring efficient asset utilization by monitoring and controlling stocking levels at various locations to meet market demand. This includes accommodating asset needs through excess cylinder stock transfer or capital investment when necessary. The position also involves managing and reporting on cylinder utilization to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation. A key responsibility of this role is to manage and conduct the Quarterly Cylinder Inventory for all cylinder assets and bulk products stored in various vessels. This includes meticulous tracking and documentation to maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conditions. The individual will be accountable for the implementation, reporting, and ongoing activities associated with maintaining the barcode tracking system, which is crucial for effective inventory management. Additionally, the position requires monitoring and managing the cylinder adjustment process in the Tracking Inventory Management System (TIMS). This includes oversight of the customer cylinder balance adjustment process and managing the approval process for adjusting customer balances. The role demands a proactive approach to ensure that all processes are followed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the inventory management system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient asset utilization by monitoring and controlling stocking levels at locations to meet market demand.
• Accommodate asset needs through excess cylinder stock transfer or capital investment where necessary.
• Manage and report on cylinder utilization.
• Conduct Quarterly Cylinder Inventory for all cylinder assets and bulk products in storage vessels.
• Implement, report, and maintain the barcode tracking system for cylinder assets.
• Monitor and manage cylinder adjustments in TIMS, including oversight of customer cylinder balance adjustment process.

Requirements

• College degree or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management and control processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate through excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Computer literacy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
