About the position

The Asset Management Strategy Manager at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is a pivotal role responsible for formulating and executing a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with the organization's overarching goals. This position focuses on optimizing asset utilization, maximizing value, and mitigating risks within the asset portfolio, thereby driving organizational efficiency and return on investment (ROI). The manager will be tasked with creating and implementing a robust asset management strategy that supports the organization's long-term objectives, ensuring that all assets are managed efficiently from inception to retirement. In this role, the manager will conduct thorough evaluations of assets to identify optimization opportunities, potential risks, and areas for improvement. They will develop and oversee asset lifecycle management plans, which include acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and disposal strategies. The goal is to enhance asset allocation and utilization strategies to maximize ROI, ensuring that assets are effectively leveraged to support business goals. The manager will also establish and monitor asset performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the Asset Management Strategy Manager will perform detailed cost-benefit analyses for asset acquisition, disposal, and replacement decisions to ensure optimal financial outcomes. They will identify and execute initiatives such as asset sharing, leasing, and strategic disposal to enhance asset value and operational efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure that best practices in asset management are implemented and maintained across the organization. Staying informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in asset management is crucial to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative. The manager will also lead, mentor, and develop a team of asset management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive asset management strategy that supports the organization's long-term objectives.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of assets to identify optimization opportunities, potential risks, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance analytics or a similar role.
  • Experience with lean six sigma, process mapping, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in the Cruise sector is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Auto CAD, Apple Mac) and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of organizational skills, flexibility, confidentiality, and be a team player capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in lean six sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in asset management or related field.
  • Experience with asset management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
