About the position

Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Manager to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA. This role is critical in managing and safeguarding the assets that support our national security and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the life cycle of assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and achieving operational efficiency. The Asset Manager will provide day-to-day support of our client's Asset Management Program and its Property Officers, ensuring all accountable personal property is accounted for throughout its lifecycle. This includes identification, accountability in the system of record, and assignment of a unique barcode. The role requires processing property transactions, creating and maintaining official records in the Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) for property acquisitions, transfers, and dispositions. In addition, the Asset Manager will maintain complete and accurate records, with a clear audit trail, of all accountable personal property in the SAMS. The position involves working directly with the government's acquisition workforce and Local Property Officers to ensure procurement documentation is complete and personal property is received. The Asset Manager will also identify and report idle property, segregate and secure unassigned property, and conduct periodic physical inventories. Furthermore, the role includes initiating and processing Reports of Survey for incidents regarding loss, damage, or theft of personal property, providing technical advice to government staff, and assisting in the creation and delivery of training materials. The successful candidate will aid in the development and maintenance of policy, processes, and controls to support the government's activities, and will be responsible for lifting and moving property, including the ability to lift 35 pounds from ground to 32 inches unassisted. Conducting program reviews to ensure data quality, efficiency, and accuracy is also a key responsibility, along with developing and submitting regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports, including Monthly Inventory Reports and Property Transfer Reports, and collecting, consolidating, and preparing personal property for storage, disposal, and similar movements.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-15 years of relevant experience in asset management or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a strong ability to lead and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in asset management software and databases.
  • Ability to work at government location core business hours MF with situational telework.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS)
  • Knowledge of DHS Personal Property Asset Management Program
  • Knowledge of CISA (NPPD) Personal Property Manual
  • Certification in Asset Management (e.g., CAMA, CPAM) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in government or defense-related sectors.
  • Knowledge of federal asset management policies and regulations.
