About the position

As an Asset Manager Lead (Client Service Manager Senior) at Siemens, you will play a pivotal role in managing a Distributed Energy Systems (DES) service portfolio that includes solar PV farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems, internal combustion engines, and Microgrids, with a primary focus on solar PV farms and battery storage systems. This position is designed for an experienced and detail-oriented professional who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the DES Asset Management service portfolio and team. You will be responsible for training and mentoring team members, setting goals, monitoring performance, and scheduling necessary formal training. Your leadership will drive the expansion of chargeable opportunities, including time and materials (T&M), system upgrades, and service contracts, ensuring that quality assurance activities are completed effectively. In this role, you will support contract profitability through cost containment procedures and ensure that contract requirements are met to a high standard. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships will be essential, as you will be tasked with ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective and timely communication. You will also determine technical labor loading and ensure the appropriate balance of talent to meet customer needs while championing safety compliance and ensuring that employees are properly trained on safety requirements. Your responsibilities will include tracking resources and monitoring the performance of power plants, developing and maintaining maintenance plans, and coordinating execution. You will evaluate T&M service orders for completed costs and scope of work, process invoices according to standard billing practices, and oversee contractual obligations and deliverables. Additionally, you will act as the primary point of contact for service customers, handling incoming service requests and maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and service providers. This position does not have direct reports but requires a senior/lead team member to oversee the portfolio effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the DES Asset Management service portfolio and team.
  • Train and mentor team members through goal setting and performance monitoring.
  • Drive expansion of chargeable opportunities, including T&M, system upgrades, and service contracts.
  • Ensure quality assurance activities are completed, including sales-to-service and projects-to-service turnover.
  • Support contract profitability through cost containment procedures and processes.
  • Ensure contract requirements are met and performed to a high standard.
  • Develop customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Determine technical labor loading and ensure proper resource coverage to meet customer needs.
  • Champion safety compliance and ensure employees meet safety requirements.
  • Enforce adherence to organizational processes, tools, and workflow standards.
  • Track resources and monitor performance of power plants.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance plans and coordinate execution.
  • Evaluate T&M service orders for completed costs and scope of work; process invoices accordingly.
  • Oversee contractual obligations, deliverables, and customer experience.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for service customers to ensure expectations are met.
  • Handle incoming service requests via phone or email, resulting in service work and scheduled personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years of DES industry-related experience with a focus on solar generation and Asset Management.
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy and good organization skills.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to change.
  • Valid Driver's license in good standing.
