About the position

The Military Housing Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational deliverables associated with Tesla's Military Housing portfolios of photovoltaic systems. This role involves continuous evaluation of operations, system performance, and site-level profitability for the assets. The Asset Manager will facilitate coordination with various internal teams to monitor and challenge operational performance and optimization metrics, aiming to achieve the highest possible availability and gross profit for projects. This includes working closely with onsite operations teams to ensure safe and efficient operations of the assets. In addition to operational oversight, the Asset Manager will manage and resolve legal, contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues as they arise, ensuring compliance with all governing documents such as Power Purchase Agreements, O&M Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, and land leases. The role requires managing day-to-day stakeholder relationships with local and state authorities, regulatory agencies, landowners, end customers, field service teams, and finance/accounting teams necessary for asset operation. The Asset Manager will also review recurring reports on project performance as per contractual obligations and drive the closure of open cases and inquiries across the portfolios. Negotiating service contracts and monitoring maintenance and operations based on fleet health and organizational priorities are also key responsibilities.
