About the position

We are currently looking to immediately hire an Asset Manager Technician to assist the on-site Asset Manager. This position involves overseeing government offices and departments to ensure that all assigned property is accounted for. The Asset Manager Technician will assist with surplus property management, including adding new equipment and barcoding. The role requires performing quarterly and annual inventory audits to maintain accurate records of assets. Additionally, the technician will provide guidance on how to maintain and update property items that leave the building and assist with the transfer of property items as needed. The technician will also be responsible for analyzing workflow, developing, and documenting standard operating procedures, and participating in regular client and company meetings as requested. Close collaboration with the Asset Manager on various tasks is essential, and the technician will be expected to work on any other assigned tasks that meet the project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing government offices/departments to ensure all assigned property is accounted for
  • Assist with surplus property management
  • Assist with adding new equipment and barcoding
  • Perform Quarterly Inventory Audits
  • Perform Annual Inventory Audits
  • Provide guidance on maintaining and updating property items that leave the building
  • Provide guidance on transferring property items
  • Analyze workflow and develop standard operating procedures
  • Participate and attend regular client and company meetings as requested
  • Work closely with the Asset Manager on any tasks as required
  • Complete and process PSC and RDC HHS'22 forms
  • Provide Excel spreadsheets and additional reports to APO and Assets Manager as needed
  • Provide Facilities assistance such as mail and placement of copier paper in the building
  • Pickup and transport surplus equipment to the surplus room

Requirements

  • Two to three years of experience in asset or inventory management assistance
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Good customer service skills
  • Team player
  • Adherence to general safety regulations at the workplace
  • Adherence to company policies as stipulated in the handbook
