About the position

The Asset Manager position at Quantico, VA, involves overseeing the full life-cycle management of IT assets for military clients, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. The role requires a strong background in asset management, particularly with IT hardware and software, and necessitates effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the IT asset lifecycle including acquisition, receiving, deployment, maintenance/operation, and disposition.
  • Managing the asset database to track hardware, software, and maintenance schedules.
  • Performing inventory management and physical accountability checks on all assets.
  • Conducting logistical support including day-to-day inventory, shipping, receiving, and deployment.
  • Assisting with procurement packages based on asset specifications, including cost information and licensing agreements.
  • Providing asset information required for procurement packages, including specifications and licensing agreements.
  • Handling Enterprise Licensing Agreements and asset management information for compliance and data calls for DoD clients.
  • Capturing IT investment requirements and aligning them to the portfolio and budget.
  • Understanding organizational policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in full life-cycle asset management for military clients, specifically IT hardware and software.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance eligible for Top Secret.
  • Experience tracking information in a WASP or ServiceNow system.
  • Experience supporting Army, Navy, or Marines.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of constituents.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage a large amount of inventory.
  • HSD/GED or higher level of education.
