About the position

The Asset Manager is a key customer resource for steam systems, responsible for identifying, assessing, managing, and resolving chronic steam system issues at client facilities. This role involves coordinating with plant staff and management, providing expertise, and ensuring sustainable solutions through effective project management and resource coordination. The Asset Manager will oversee project activities from inquiries to invoicing, manage inventory, and facilitate communication between various teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, manage, and resolve chronic steam system problems at client facilities.
  • Perform project activities including inquiries, quotes, orders, project scheduling, and implementation through to completion and invoicing.
  • Conduct site scoping to determine root-cause failures and create best practices for steam trap optimization.
  • Manage inventory of P, V, & F, Connectors, and steam traps, reordering as necessary.
  • Coordinate on-site activities and follow up with key site personnel for strategic programs, goals, and objectives.
  • Schedule equipment installation and coordinate service work with site personnel, including steam trap surveys and assessments.
  • Investigate repeat offenders and problem areas for root cause analysis.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and report safety hazards to site owners.
  • Facilitate monthly progress meetings with primary customer contacts.
  • Identify steam leaks, missing insulation, and best practices opportunities in operating units.
  • Periodically report steam savings versus project costs as required.
  • Provide supervision of installation and repair for quality control.
  • Locate and update P & I D's with steam trap numbers and take pictures for the database.
  • Research maintenance notifications in SAP and schedule repairs if warranted.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in construction management or CAD/Drafting (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in steam system-related maintenance.
  • Experience in welding, pipe-fitting, refinery operations, project management, and maintenance planning.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in industrial engineering and drafting.
