A leading firm specializing in asset management is seeking a talented and motivated Asset Manager to join their Chicago office. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Asset Manager will play a key role in managing and optimizing investment portfolios, ensuring the growth and profitability of assets under management. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of previous experience in asset management and must be bilingual in Japanese and English to effectively communicate with clients and partners. In this role, the Asset Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for managing investment portfolios, which may include equities, fixed income, and alternative assets. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is crucial, as the Asset Manager will provide regular updates, performance reports, and strategic advice. The position also requires conducting thorough market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess potential risks. The Asset Manager will prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaboration with other team members and departments is essential to ensure alignment with organizational goals and client objectives. Additionally, the Asset Manager will provide support and communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients and partners, translating and interpreting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for managing and optimizing investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, and alternative assets.

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess potential risks.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in asset management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English, with the ability to conduct business and provide written communication in both languages.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, portfolio management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
