About the position

The Executive Director at ManTech International Corporation will lead the architecture, engineering, and operations of a mission-critical infrastructure support program within the Homeland Security Division. This role involves managing a diverse technical team, overseeing contract performance, and ensuring the successful execution of border security technologies and IT infrastructure projects. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance ManTech's presence and revenue in the sector.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, enable, direct, and supervise a multi-disciplined technical team of up to 200 FTEs across CONUS locations.
  • Grow ManTech's revenue base by winning additional task orders.
  • Oversee overarching contract performance and resource allocation.
  • Act as a point of contact between ManTech and the customer.
  • Serve as a liaison for core team members and prospective subcontractors.
  • Recruit top technical and management talent for programs.
  • Manage successful employee retention and engagement programs.
  • Translate business objectives into technical execution strategies and collaborate with customer and ManTech teams.
  • Understand CBP's Integrated Travelers Initiatives and maintain relationships with CBP's OIT and PSPD.
  • Manage technical teams that procure, deploy, and maintain border security technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or science discipline and 6+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (additional 4 years of experience may substitute for degree).
  • Familiarity with the Business Development and Capture process.
  • Exceptional communication, team building, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Agile or Project Management certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMP) is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher.
  • Previous Senior Executive Service (SES) experience at DHS.
  • Familiarity with the Shipley process.
