This role focuses on managing a portfolio of multifamily properties, which typically includes apartment complexes. The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of 500 family apartment complexes, ensuring that properties are well-maintained, profitable, and meeting investment goals. This includes acquiring bids from contractors for work orders, make readies, and renovations. In addition to portfolio management, the Asset Manager will engage in financial management by preparing profit and loss statements and managing cash flow portals for investors and portfolios. A key aspect of the role involves underwriting multifamily and commercial real estate deals, which requires a strong understanding of financial statements and investment strategies. The Asset Manager will also interface with investors, providing updates on portfolio performance and managing syndications, which involve pooling capital from multiple investors. Coordination and collaboration are essential components of this position. The Asset Manager will deal with insurance and mortgage brokers, coordinate with virtual assistants and bookkeepers to ensure smooth operations, and assist in writing proposals for new projects or investments. Furthermore, the role includes administrative and strategic tasks such as developing strategies to improve property performance, monitoring market trends to make informed investment decisions, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including tenants and service providers.
