About the position

The Asset Manager at Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and performance of multi-family Conventional Public Housing properties. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, preparing budgets, and maintaining financial performance while providing affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of assigned housing developments in accordance with SNRHA and HUD policies.
  • Manage staff including maintenance supervisors, clerical employees, and volunteers.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline subordinate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and complete necessary reporting.
  • Achieve successful scores for properties associated with HUD's Public Housing Assessment System.
  • Prepare the proposed annual budget for the asset management properties and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Monitor rent collection and manage correspondence related to balances due or delinquent payments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five years of relevant rental housing property management experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Nevada State-issued Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving, crisis management, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with affordable housing and diverse residents, including low-income, disabled, and elderly.
  • Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification.
  • Public Housing Manager certification.
  • Tax Credit, RAD/PBV, Rent Calculation, LIHTC, and/or HCCP certification.
  • Fair Housing & Tenant Landlord Law training certificate.
