About the position

The Asset Manager position at Northeast Bank involves providing management oversight for a portfolio of performing bank assets and originated loans. The primary objective is to maximize returns and minimize losses within the portfolio while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strategic planning, financial analysis, and collaboration with senior management and investment partners.

Responsibilities

• Management oversight for the Bank's purchased loan portfolio, including initial written assessments and strategy recommendations to maximize income and minimize risk.
• Daily responsibilities include restructuring credit and repayment terms, developing strategies to secure collateral, and monitoring monthly payments, taxes, and insurance.
• Management oversight for the Bank's originated loan portfolio, including monitoring payments and preparing annual written analyses with recommendations.
• Oversight of the Community Banking Portfolio, including collecting payments, negotiating small commercial loans, and conducting annual reviews of commercial term notes.
• Periodic credit underwriting assignments for loan portfolios, including documentation review and cash flow modeling for bid price recommendations.
• Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations by the Company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6 to 10 years of experience in asset management, commercial loan workout, and/or loan underwriting
• Formal bank credit training is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
