Hill International is seeking an Asset/Move Project Manager II (Relocation Project Manager) in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on Furniture/Equipment/Relocation Project Management Services, emphasizing FF&E selection, procurement coordination, and purchasing to provide colleges with the necessary FF&E and move-in/relocation management services. The position requires strategic oversight of all FF&E programming, budgeting, quotes, procurement, scheduling, installation, and coordination throughout the pre-move, move, and post-move phases, as well as close-out activities for assigned projects. The Asset/Move Project Manager will work under the direction of the College Project Director (CPD) and the Manager of the Relocation Project Management team. Responsibilities include coordinating with Procurement to manage the purchasing of all FF&E using best-value and/or low bid public contracting. The manager will collaborate with the CPD, Project Architects (A/E) team, Manager of Relocation Project Management team, and Building User Groups (BUG) to identify project scope, budget, schedule, and FF&E requirements. A thorough understanding of the Master Plan for new and renovated buildings is essential, as is the ability to identify potential swing space and coordinate its use according to the project schedule. The role also involves creating FF&E budgets for each project, attending weekly project meetings, reviewing programming, design, and construction documents, and ensuring that all electrical/data/infrastructure/utility requirements are coordinated among various FF&E vendors. The manager will work closely with the BUG to plan the relocation of existing furniture and equipment, coordinate IT equipment procurement and installation, and ensure that project budgets and schedules are met. Additionally, the manager will provide value engineering efforts as needed, coordinate logistics for timely FF&E delivery and installation, and maintain all related documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires a 4-year college degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Construction/Project Management, Planning, Facilities Management, or a related area, along with 10-18 years of relevant project management and coordination experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Visio. Educational and Public Works experience, along with procurement and asset management knowledge, is also required. Certifications such as CID, CCIDQ Membership with IIDA, AIA, IFMA, and LEED Certification are preferred.
