About the position

The Asset/Move Project Manager is responsible for managing Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for various projects, including new constructions and renovations. This role involves overseeing the entire process from programming and specification to procurement, scheduling, and installation, ensuring that all projects meet their functional occupancy requirements. The position also includes move management, which encompasses creating move scopes, coordinating bids, and overseeing onsite activities to facilitate smooth transitions into new or renovated spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FF&E for new, renovated, and swing space projects.
  • Coordinate move management activities including scope creation and bidding.
  • Track budgets and procurement for FF&E.
  • Schedule and oversee installation and punch list activities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify project scope, budget, and FF&E requirements.
  • Conduct weekly project meetings with stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Review programming and design documents to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate IT equipment procurement and installation with relevant teams.
  • Maintain all documentation related to FF&E and move management activities.
  • Provide project status reports to the Manager of Relocation Project Management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or related field, or 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • 6-10 years of project management experience in Move/Relocation Management or related fields.
  • Ability to read architectural and furniture drawings.
  • Knowledge of furniture and equipment specifications and procurement.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Educational and Public Works projects.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Proficiency in Visio or Design software.
  • Interior Design Certification (CID, CCIDQ) or membership with IIDA, AIA, IFMA, or LEED Certification.
