About the position

As an Asset Process Manager for Hardware and Software at Western Alliance Bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that asset management processes are effectively implemented and maintained. This position requires a deep understanding of ITIL best practices and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to ensure that processes are fit for purpose and well-documented. You will be responsible for validating that documentation is being followed and for identifying any areas where improvements can be made. Your role will involve continuous interaction with stakeholders to review their data and identify opportunities for enhancement, as well as addressing any audit and risk concerns related to the execution or management of processes. In this position, you will act as a key contributor to the implementation of the Asset Management process, focusing on both hardware and software assets. You will manage and improve interactions between asset management and multiple ITIL processes, establishing formal IT Service Management practices that leverage ITIL v4 best practices. Additionally, you will develop metrics and governance programs to ensure that ITIL processes are documented and followed effectively. Your participation in developing IT strategy will be essential to ensure that processes align with organizational objectives. You will also partner with the Vendor Management organization to ensure that supplier contracts support the transition to ITIL best practices. Building strong relationships with technology and business leaders will be vital, as you will establish performance reporting for all IT teams and leadership, providing direction and support to drive sustained improvements in IT service delivery. You will be comfortable developing and managing continual improvement plans for all ITIL processes, ensuring that process documentation is aligned and continually improved.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor to implementing the Asset Management process (Hardware and Software) at Western Alliance Bank.
  • Manage and improve interactions between Asset and multiple ITIL processes.
  • Establish formal IT Service Management practices leveraging ITIL v4 best practices.
  • Develop metrics and governance programs and documentation for ITIL processes.
  • Participate in developing IT strategy and ensuring that processes support those objectives.
  • Partner with Vendor Management organization to ensure supplier contracts support the organizational transition to ITIL best practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with technology and business leaders.
  • Establish performance reporting for all IT teams and leadership, providing direction and support to drive sustained IT service delivery improvements.
  • Develop and manage continual improvement plans for all ITIL processes.
  • Develop, align, and continually improve process documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience with Enterprise ITIL process management with demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following process areas: Asset, Configuration, CMDB, Change, Incident, Problem, and Event processes.
  • Experience implementing enterprise processes and/or transitioning organizations to new ITSM platforms or processes.
  • Foundational and intermediate certifications in ITIL v3/4, and operational knowledge of CoBit, DevOps, Agile, Lean development, and/or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Business Architecture concepts (TOGAF).
  • Ability to demonstrate managing large organizational changes with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Prior Enterprise Vendor Management experience preferred.
  • Confident and composed communicator with experience presenting to C-level leaders.
  • Comfortable operating in white space without direction, including developing strategies and improvement plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
  • Organizational change management expertise.
  • Able to translate highly technical concepts into easy to understand business terms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt message to audience.
  • Capable of driving results and comfortable supporting them with data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foundational and intermediate certifications in ITIL v3/4.
  • Operational knowledge of CoBit, DevOps, Agile, Lean development, and/or Six Sigma.
