About the position
The Asset Protection Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of associates, customers, and merchandise within the Walmart Supercenter. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Associates in this role will be tasked with investigating incidents, analyzing situations, and implementing strategies to prevent loss and ensure a safe shopping environment. Responsibilities
- Monitor the store premises to ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
- Investigate incidents of theft or loss and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as needed.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential security risks.
- Educate staff on loss prevention techniques and safety protocols.
- Analyze security footage and other data to identify suspicious activities.
- Implement strategies to enhance store security and reduce theft.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with security systems and technology.
