Asset Protection Associate

About the position

The Asset Protection Associate plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets by supporting shrinkage and safety awareness programs, conducting surveillance, detaining and interviewing suspects, and maintaining records. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and supporting internal investigations, all while ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Supports Shrinkage and Safety Awareness programs by aiding Store Management in communicating current topics.
• Conducts surveillance to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity using CCTV and floor observations.
• Detains and interviews suspects in accordance with local laws and company policy.
• Maintains records of incidents and evidence using approved company methods.
• Participates in court hearings and maintains relationships with local law enforcement.
• Identifies and addresses potential hazards to customers and associates, conducting incident investigations as needed.
• Supports internal investigations by collecting evidence and acting as an interview witness.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Guard Card license is preferred.
• Valid Loss Prevention Qualified certification is preferred.
• Experience in interviewing is preferred.
