About the position

The Walmart Asset Protection Investigator is responsible for safeguarding the company's assets by preventing and investigating theft, fraud, and other losses. This role involves conducting investigations, monitoring security, and collaborating with law enforcement to enhance store security and compliance with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, and other losses, often collaborating with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Monitoring security cameras and conducting surveillance to identify suspicious activities and prevent theft.
• Developing and implementing strategies to minimize losses and improve overall security in the store.
• Educating associates on loss prevention techniques and company policies related to asset protection.
• Documenting incidents, findings, and recommendations in detailed reports for management review.
• Working with other departments, such as the store management team and corporate asset protection teams, to enhance security measures.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding asset protection and loss prevention.
• Handling customer interactions with professionalism, particularly in cases of suspected theft or fraud.

Requirements

• Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention (preferred)
• Class D Security Guard Card
