About the position

The Asset Protection Manager at the Maison Madison Flagship Boutique of Hermès of Paris Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all employees, premises, and products. This position is integral to the Asset Protection Department, which aims to mitigate risks associated with loss, safety, and security through consistent training and valued partnerships. The manager will report directly to the Asset Protection Area Manager and will work closely with the Maison Madison Team to implement the overall Asset Protection program effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to internal and external safety concerns, necessitating strong communication and collaboration with the Store Management Team and other stakeholders. In this role, the Asset Protection Manager will oversee the management of vendor guards, including scheduling and maintenance of all Asset Protection-related equipment. The position also involves conducting training sessions on various safety protocols, including active shooter scenarios, armed robbery responses, and fire safety compliance. The manager will be responsible for investigating losses due to theft and conducting cycle counts and inventory checks. Additionally, the role includes partnering with local law enforcement to address any potential external threats and ensuring the functionality of all Asset Protection equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, coaching and developing Asset Protection Supervisors and Specialists within the boutique. The position requires a high level of organization, as the manager will maintain all Asset Protection documentation and conduct security assessments using established checklists. Flexibility in availability is essential, as the role may require adjustments to schedules based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the overall Asset Protection program effectively.
  • Manage vendor guards, including scheduling and maintenance of equipment.

  • Oversee the fire safety program, including emergency evacuation drills and inspections.
  • Investigate losses related to theft and conduct inventory checks.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Asset Protection Supervisors and Specialists.
  • Conduct boutique security assessments using established checklists.
  • Ensure consistent functionality of all Asset Protection equipment.
  • Maintain all Asset Protection documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-5 years of Asset Protection management experience in a luxury setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic investigative skills and ability to lift 0-25 lbs.
  • Strong partnership and collaboration abilities.
  • Flexible availability to meet operational needs.
