About the position
The Asset Protection Specialist at Festival Foods plays a crucial role in safeguarding the store's assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment. This position involves proactive problem-solving to address theft, safety, and shrinkage issues while collaborating with store management and associates to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. The specialist will also serve as a leader in asset protection matters, providing training and guidance to store associates.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Store Directors, Managers, and Associates to enhance profitability.
- Maintain programs that impact shrink results and minimize loss.
- Monitor safety standards to identify and eliminate potential risks.
- Conduct audits for customer service and compliance improvements.
- Identify and investigate internal and external losses, bringing resolution to cases.
- Approach individuals when theft is detected and apprehend when necessary.
- Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement agencies.
- Respond immediately to store emergency situations or disturbances.
- Educate Store Associates on Asset Protection topics and best practices.
- Attend and contribute to store meetings and safety discussions.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to be trained in Asset Protection, Safety, and Leadership.
- Strong communication skills and ability to sustain business partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and OneNote.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in retail loss prevention or security roles.
