About the position

The Asset Risk Analyst role is designed to manage and operate risk tools within the Asset Knowledge Management group, supporting the assigned asset class. This position focuses on enhancing the risk register and business planning processes, ensuring compliance with Transmission and Distribution Integrity. The analyst will collaborate with asset class teams to improve risk modeling and tool outputs, providing actionable insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Execute processes on risk assessment tools, including loading data and running analytical tools.
  • Learn established Risk Assessment procedures.
  • Collaborate with analysts and leaders to load, analyze, and compile data.
  • Support the development and maintenance of asset class risk registers in partnership with Asset Class Owners.
  • Perform probabilistic analysis for assigned assets and quantify risk scores for comparison across asset classes.
  • Prepare risk tool outputs that translate technical details into actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Maintain risk tools and execute continuous improvement efforts as the application owner.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Asset Program Owners to improve asset data availability and quality.
  • Stay current on industry practices for risk assessment and learn from other industries' risk modeling approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a job-related discipline.
  • 0-7 years of experience depending on the level (Asset Risk Analyst 1: 0-3 years, Asset Risk Analyst 2: 3-7 years, Sr Asset Risk Analyst: 7+ years).
  • Data analysis or programming experience.
  • Experience building and/or using complex quantitative models.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments to resolve issues and implement change.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and analyze tabular and geospatial data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building and/or using probabilistic models.
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience in programming or coding (Python, R, SQL, etc).
  • Leadership experience.
