About The Position
The Controls Engineering team within Asset & Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs is tasked with building the next generation firm-wide control plane. This role is pivotal in managing and implementing risk management controls that are tailored to the diverse products and services offered to AWM clients. The successful candidate will leverage their deep technical skills to develop web applications that facilitate user registration, control development, and administration on the platform. This position is not only about coding but also involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the business and adhere to best practices in software development. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and designing new features for Control Management and Implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Risk Managers and Control Managers, to gather requirements and define technical solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and applications that are reliable, scalable, and performant. You will also be expected to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, ensuring that the systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring and coaching junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers.
