About the position

The Vice President of Fraud Analytics at Asset Wealth Management is responsible for leading a team that specializes in data analytics to monitor and manage fraud risk strategies. This role focuses on protecting the firm and its clients from fraudulent transactions across various banking channels by identifying fraud trends, developing mitigation rules, and implementing effective fraud prevention strategies. The position requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with various business partners to deliver client-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Fraud Analytics Analysts and ensure all daily functions are processed.
  • Interpret complex data to formulate problem statements and draw conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics and opportunities.
  • Conduct data analysis, including data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into actionable solutions.
  • Identify gaps in money movement strategies supported by data and generate buy-in for implementation.
  • Provide implementation support, including testing and process change management, ensuring compliance with Oversight and Control requirements.
  • Identify enhancements for long-term strategic initiatives supported by data and generate buy-in from senior leadership for implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and provide subject matter expertise for fraud escalations.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment to resolve problems within established policies.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and convert raw data into useful insights to support business decisions.
  • Highly analytical with experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data using SAS and SQL.
  • Proven experience to operate effectively in a matrix organization under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, developing actionable recommendations.
  • Specific knowledge of core banking systems, operation of common banking products, applicable laws, and regulations related to fraudulent activities.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data using Python or Alteryx.
  • 3 or more years of fraud experience.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
