About the position

The Asset & Wealth Management Operations Associate role at Goldman Sachs focuses on client onboarding and outreach, specifically in the areas of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and effective service delivery to clients, while also enhancing operational efficiency and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for multiple Sales channels to coordinate successful KYC refreshes of high-profile client relationships.
• Understand the end-to-end onboarding process including KYC, AML, Due Diligence, Distribution Agreements, and Legal.
• Coordinate complex Onboarding/KYC reviews involving sensitive client relationships.
• Participate in regular meetings to maintain clarity around workflow and understand changes to regulations or expectations.
• Develop a clear understanding of bespoke client requirements and offer guidance on operational support.
• Review and maintain internal policies and procedures to increase automation and scalability.
• Research and identify inefficiencies and drive enhancements in processes.
• Ensure regulatory and company compliance standards are met and changes are coordinated among appropriate teams.
• Provide management/board reporting and information for ad-hoc management requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of financial markets and products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, CRS, Due Diligence, and Distribution Agreements preferred.
• A minimum of three years' working experience in the financial industry or a client-facing role preferred.
• Understanding of ethical conduct and maintaining confidentiality in dealing with client data.
