About the position

The ETF Portfolio Management Team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is responsible for overseeing and managing ETF portfolios, which includes portfolio rebalancing, cash management, risk management, and other daily portfolio-related activities. The team collaborates with ETF market makers to manage primary market creations and redemptions, ensuring tax-efficient outcomes. Additionally, the team engages in research and development of new ETF products and strategies, enhancements to existing products, and conducts industry and competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage ETF portfolios including portfolio rebalancing and cash management.
• Manage risk associated with ETF portfolios and ensure tax-efficient outcomes.
• Collaborate with ETF market makers on primary market creations and redemptions.
• Engage in research and development of new ETF products and strategies.
• Enhance existing ETF products and conduct industry and competitive analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5-6 years of practical experience in portfolio construction/portfolio management activities.
• Working knowledge of ETF products and markets.
• Experience in managing passive and active quantitative strategies, including derivatives-based strategies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and VBA.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills.
