About the position
The Assistant 7th and 8th Grade Wrestling Coach position is a part-time role for the winter season within the Dayton Area School Consortium. The coach will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of the wrestling program for middle school students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for athletes to learn and compete.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching 7th and 8th grade wrestling teams.
- Develop training programs and practice schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and competitions.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Promote sportsmanship and teamwork among athletes.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Ohio Certificate/License/Permit in the appropriate area.
- Proper athletic certification is required for this assignment.
- Experience in coaching or participating in wrestling is preferred.
