About the position

The Assistant Academic Research Scientist position at Emory University's Suthar laboratory focuses on studying immunity to emerging viral infections. The role involves supporting research efforts related to vaccine formulations, immune response evaluation, and protection against viral infections, utilizing both in vitro and in vivo models. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, motivated, and capable of leading projects, analyzing data, and contributing to scientific publications.

Responsibilities

  • Design experiments and analyze data related to basic and translational research.
  • Review literature to develop advanced knowledge and skills for protocol development.
  • Assist in grant and funding applications as necessary.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • PhD or MD, or a Master's degree with five years of professional level experience in a technical or research lab.
  • Laboratory experience relevant to the area of assignment.
  • Eligibility for a Georgia medical license for applicants with an M.D. or equivalent degree.
