About the position

R&CPMK is seeking a multifaceted Assistant Account Executive to join our dynamic Entertainment Division based in Los Angeles. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about entertainment and eager to contribute to a fast-paced team. As an Assistant Account Executive, you will gain comprehensive experience in a collaborative environment, working with clients across various sectors including books, music, film/TV, and talent in both faith-based and mainstream arenas. In this position, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, which includes setting up conference calls and meetings, taking notes, and performing other tasks as needed. You will monitor press clippings for clients, track media impressions, and craft and maintain coverage reports and grids. Collaboration with the entertainment team will be key as you brainstorm pitch angles, reach out to the press, and secure media placements. You will also handle incoming press requests, research press contacts at media outlets, and maintain and update media lists. Additionally, you will review and edit press materials, ensuring that digital press kits are current and responding to client and industry interactions via phone and email. We are looking for a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail. Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively are essential. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including setting up conference calls and meetings, taking notes, and other tasks as needed.
  • Monitor press clippings for clients, track media impressions, and craft/maintain coverage reports and grids.
  • Collaborate with the entertainment team in brainstorming pitch angles, outreach to press, and securing media placements.
  • Handle incoming press requests and research press contacts at media outlets.
  • Ongoing maintenance and update media lists.
  • Review and edit press materials including press releases and alerts.
  • Ensure digital press kits are current.
  • Respond and update client/industry interaction via phone and e-mail.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working in the entertainment industry or in an agency setting preferred.
  • Experience working with talent, entertainment, books, music, film studios, or agencies is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge in Muck Rack, Cision, Mail Chimp and other entertainment research-based programs preferred.
  • Professional and friendly communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Responsive and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent track record in balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
