About the position

The Assistant Account Executive at Blaze PR is responsible for managing public relations efforts for consumer lifestyle brands. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a PR agency environment, focusing on media relations, client communication, and event planning. The position emphasizes strong writing and organizational skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Draft press materials such as fact sheets, biographies, and press releases.
• Build and maintain accurate, detailed media lists.
• Pitch media and promote client brands effectively.
• Assist with planning and executing special events for clients.
• Maintain relationships with client contacts and address issues promptly.
• Provide proactive updates to team and managers on project progress.

Requirements

• Two to three years of consumer lifestyle public relations experience in a PR agency environment.
• Strong pitching and creative writing skills.
• Background in hospitality, wine/spirits, lifestyle, tourism, and/or travel PR.
• Knowledge of and experience implementing social media campaigns.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in managing social media accounts for brands.
• Familiarity with the wine and spirits industry.
