About the position

The Assistant Accounting Manager will support the year-end closing process for a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 company. This role involves participating in the monthly and quarterly closing processes, assisting with the consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and ensuring compliance with SEC reporting requirements. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to various accounting functions while providing support to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly/quarterly closing process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the consolidation process of multiple subsidiaries including intercompany reconciliation and foreign currency accounting.
• Assist in the preparation and timely filing of SEC reports, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings.
• Produce clear and organized work papers that support the Company's SEC filings.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Perform special projects as needed.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with managing month-end close activities, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, and training new and existing staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in month-end processes including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations.
