About the position

The Assistant Corporate Accounting Manager will play a crucial role within the Finance Department, participating in monthly and quarterly closing procedures. This position involves delivering accurate financial information in a timely manner, assisting the Accounting Manager with various duties, and ensuring compliance with SEC filing requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly closing process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the consolidation process of multiple subsidiaries including intercompany reconciliation and foreign currency accounting.
• Assist in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including reports on 10-Q, 10-K and other filings.
• Produce clear and organized work papers that adequately support the Company's SEC filings.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Perform special projects as needed.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with managing month-end close activities, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, assisting with interim and year-end audits, and training new and existing staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience required including public accounting experience - Big 4 preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Exceptional organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, solid analytical skills and follow through skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
