About the position

The Assistant Architectural Designer at Float Studio will play a crucial role in supporting the design team throughout various stages of the design process. This position involves hands-on involvement in the development of construction documents and coordination with senior architects, ensuring that project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the design team on the development of construction documents.
• Provide program and code research, fit test development, and set up construction documents for development in close coordination with the senior architect.
• Generate DSK's.
• Manage submittal logs, field RFI's and assist in construction administration for projects.
• Set up project files and ongoing organization.
• Coordinate construction documents with FF&E specifications provided by the design team.

Requirements

• BArch or M.Arch
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, BIM, CAD (Autocad or Vectorworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of standard office software (i.e. Google Suite, Zoom, Slack)
• Legal authorization to work in the US

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI software (i.e. midjourney) a plus but not required
