About the position

The Assistant/Associate Director of Assessment and Accountability works within the Division of Engagement, Civil Rights, and Title IX to develop activities and programs with assessment processes. The Assistant/Associate Director of Assessment and Accountability will develop and design strategies for gathering, analyzing, and tracking data related to the division's work. The Assistant/Associate Director will also set standards for assessment, query processes, and accountability in alignment with the division's priorities. To support the progress and measure the impact of the division, they will integrate the management and analysis of student data and other relevant data into the practices of the division offices and provide strategic, data-driven problem-solving support to organizational leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage data visualization tools to effectively communicate insights and support comprehensive reporting.
  • Oversee the use of various software platforms for data and project management, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Manage the processes of data entry, tracking, analysis, and reporting essential to all operational functions and assessment and accountability related programs.
  • Lead the coordination of data collection, assessment evaluations, and reporting to inform division-wide strategic decision-making.
  • Synthesize and present survey results to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with division leadership by providing critical metrics, analytics, and recommendations to facilitate informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and coordinate co-curricular and operational assessment initiatives aligned with the division's and university's strategic priorities, ensuring accountability and progress.
  • Analyze data, interpret findings, and provide evaluative recommendations to enhance programs, services, and procedures.
  • Review and assess reports tied to division priorities, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to leadership.
  • Oversee and manage all related workflows, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Supervise the tracking, follow-up, and reporting of key metrics, such as engagement center utilization and Navigate/Workday Student data, to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement within the division.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Development, Director of Institutional Engagement and Partnership, and other units to provide assessment professional development.
  • Spearhead conversations across the division to foster a culture of assessment and accountability.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze assessments across the division.
  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of co-curricular and operational assessment strategies.
  • Provide strategic oversight of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes across the division.
  • Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and deliver comprehensive reports to senior leadership.
  • Ensure that key metrics, such as engagement center utilization and student data (Navigate/Workday), are tracked, analyzed, and integrated into strategic discussions to inform program development and continuous improvement.
  • Spearhead collaborative initiatives with the Director of Learning and Development, Director of Institutional Engagement, and other key stakeholders to foster a culture of assessment and accountability.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of professional development programs focused on assessment best practices.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives as directed by the Associate Vice President of Institutional Engagement and Partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience for the Assistant Director.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience for the Associate Director.
  • Specific Degree in Statistics, Educational Research, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent data collection, management, and analysis skills.
