The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position in the Quantitative Methods in Education program. This role is designed for a scholar who is proficient in the development and application of statistical methods in educational research. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to research, teaching, and service within the department, college, and university. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in relation to providing equitable opportunities for historically marginalized groups to learn and thrive. The position entails a 9-month, full-time appointment located on the Minneapolis campus, with a target start date of August 25, 2025. The selected individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong record of scholarship, particularly in the area of statistical methods applicable to educational settings. This includes a commitment to securing external funding to support their research endeavors. Additionally, the faculty member will mentor and advise graduate students, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses on various advanced statistical topics, including multivariate statistics, Bayesian methods, and causal modeling. Service to the department, college, and university is also a key component of this position, which includes participation in internal committees, outreach activities, and engagement with professional organizations in the field of quantitative methods in education.
