About the position

The University of Cincinnati's Department of Engineering and Computing Education invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks. The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research in Engineering or Computer Science Education, focusing on diverse research areas such as workforce development and P-12 education. The department aims to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences while advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning through rigorous research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop or advance a nationally/internationally recognized, externally-funded research program in engineering/CS education.
  • Advise graduate students.
  • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in engineering education, including first-year engineering courses.
  • Assist with first-year engineering restructuring as appropriate.
  • Perform service at the Department, College, University, and professional societies levels, including peer review for journals or funding agencies.
  • Nurture collaborations across the college and campus to achieve strategic goals.
  • Further the department's goals of developing and sustaining premier research programs and preparing students for high-performance in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering Education or a related discipline prior to the effective date of appointment.
