About the position
The Operations and Decision Technologies (ODT) Department of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University - Bloomington invites applicants for tenure-track/tenured open rank positions (i.e., at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank) in Information Systems to begin fall 2025. We welcome applications from individuals with research interests in the broad domains of information systems, software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, IT in organizations, and policies/applications for AI in organizations. Likely teaching responsibilities involve strategy and organizational use of IS, cybersecurity, management/development/application of AI, applications of modern digital tools for organizations and/or programming and modeling in environments such as Python, R, and SQL. Teaching requirements may include undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level classes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the field of Information Systems and related areas.
- Teach undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level classes.
- Engage in scholarly research and publish findings in high-quality journals.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field (completed or all but dissertation for entry-level candidates).
- Strong commitment to excellence in scholarly research and teaching.
- Record of high-quality publications for advanced candidates.
- Demonstrated teaching experience for advanced candidates.
Nice-to-haves
- Research interests in software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and AI applications.
- Experience with programming and modeling in Python, R, and SQL.
