About the position

Spring Arbor University is seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member to join the School of Engineering, specifically in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The position will commence in the Fall 2025 semester and involves teaching core and upper division engineering courses, developing innovative curricula, advising students, and engaging in scholarly activities. The ideal candidate will integrate Christian faith into their teaching and contribute positively to the university community.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core engineering courses and upper division courses in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Develop innovative curriculum for undergraduate engineering programs.
  • Engage in scholarly endeavors related to Mechanical Engineering.
  • Advise undergraduate students on academic and career matters.
  • Serve on university committees to contribute to the academic community.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Preferred: Earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (ABD candidates will be considered).
  • Professional experience in the field of mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Successful record of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.

  • Specialization in Engineering Design, Thermo-fluid sciences, or Materials.
