The Assistant Associate (Parts Warehousing) position is located at the Jacksonville Parts Distribution Center (PDC) and involves various warehouse functions essential to the distribution of parts. In this role, the primary responsibilities include picking and packing dealer orders according to assigned priorities and quality standards. The associate will unpack incoming shipments, verify and inspect contents in accordance with departmental procedures, and bin incoming parts in assigned locations. Participation in the perpetual inventory process is also required, along with maintaining assigned areas in good condition at all times. Adherence to all safety and security regulations is crucial in this position, given the nature of the warehouse environment. The work environment can be challenging, with characteristics such as dust, noise, and potential hazards from moving equipment. Employees must be prepared to handle merchandise and tools with sharp edges and operate machinery safely. The physical demands of the job include continuous physical exertion, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and unload materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- High School Diploma (GED)
- 0-2 years of general warehouse experience
- General knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and techniques to achieve designated productivity rates.
