About the position

The Division of Education at Mayville State University is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenured Assistant/Associate Professor of Education position starting August 2025. The position will include program planning, instruction, advising undergraduate students, creating course content, reporting, undergraduate course instruction that may include, introduction to education, diversity and human relations, theories & management, and core professional education courses. Assignments may include supervision of students in clinical field experiences, collaborative work within the Division of Education focused on assessment and accreditation, service to the community and university, and other university and divisional duties. Depending upon the incumbent's qualifications, this position may further include collaborative teaching assignments in other divisions. The position requires teaching on-campus and online courses.

Requirements

  • An earned Master's degree in Education
  • Excellent working knowledge and skills in the use of research-based instructional strategies
  • Evidence of professional communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-haves

  • An earned doctorate degree in education
  • Experience teaching in higher education face-to-face and online
  • Three years of professional experience within a K-12 educational setting
  • Experience with multi-tiered systems of support
  • Experience with educational assessment
  • Experience developing higher education coursework
  • Commitment to working with culturally, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse students
