About the position

Augustana University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. This role involves teaching in a dynamic, accelerated two-year DPT program that combines online and on-campus activities. Faculty members can work remotely but must travel to Sioux Falls, SD, or Blane, MN for designated periods each trimester. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in various practice areas and a commitment to innovative teaching strategies in hybrid learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as agreed upon with the DPT Program Director.
• Engage in service and scholarship responsibilities as outlined in the Augustana University Faculty Manual.
• Participate in professional development activities as per faculty rank requirements.

Requirements

• Terminal academic doctorate in a relevant discipline (Ph.D., EdD, DSc, etc.) or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or tDPT).
• Active physical therapy license in home state and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota and Minnesota.
• Clinical experience in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Primary Care Physical Therapy, Anatomy, and Therapeutic Interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for online and in-person interactions.
• Strong computer skills to support online didactic instructional formats.
