About the position
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Social and Administrative Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences is a tenure-track faculty position responsible for curriculum development, instruction, and research in the field of pharmacy. The role emphasizes the establishment of a respectful and inquiry-driven educational environment, contributing to the planning and evaluation of academic programs, and mentoring Pharm.D. students through clerkship rotations. Faculty members are expected to engage in research, participate in university committees, and foster a collaborative atmosphere within the College of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment of curriculum and methods of instruction.
- Promote an atmosphere of respect for knowledge and inquiry within the College.
- Participate in scheduled meetings of the General Faculty and contribute to committees.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and academic programs.
- Establish clerkship rotations and serve as a preceptor for Pharm.D. students.
- Conduct and participate in pharmacy practice research endeavors.
- Support the organizational goals and objectives of the College of Pharmacy.
Requirements
- Pharm.D. degree or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Experience consistent with current College promotion and tenure documents.
- Expertise in Pharmacy Social and Administrative Sciences.
- Effective communication skills with groups and individuals.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.
